RIT Division of Career Education collection
Rochester Institute of Technology’s Division of Career Education was established in 1978 to coordinate co-operative and experiential education, career placement, academic and career advising, and career education research. The materials within this collection include office memos, a proposal for the development of the program, information booklets, an alumni survey, and news clippings.
RIT Division of Instructional Development and Planning records
Records of the Rochester Institute of Technology's (RIT) Division of Instructional Development and Planning. The unit was formed in 1970 to coordinate instructional technology and services on RIT's campus. The collection includes minutes, memorandums, and reports from the department.
RIT Downtown Campus records
Collection contains historical information on the downtown campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology. The campus was located within the heart of downtown Rochester from the time of the establishment of Mechanics Institute in 1885 until the move to the Henrietta campus in 1968. This collection includes clippings and various records, such as renovation plans, maps, and correspondence.
RIT Energy Policy records
These are the records of the Institute Energy Policy enacted by the Rochester Institute of Technology in the early 1980's. The policy was planned to reduce campus energy consumption by 20% by 1985. These records consist of the policy guidelines, as well as related correspondence.
RIT Faculty Council records
Materials are records from the Faculty Council from 1957 to 1996. The collection includes meeting minutes, newsletters, correspondence, committee reports, financial materials, and other related items.
RIT Instructional Resources Laboratory records
Materials related to the Rochester Institute of Technology's (RIT) Instructional Resource Laboratory and its activities. The collection includes quarterly reports, memorandums, and a promotional flier.
RIT Instructional Television Center records
Records of the Rochester Institute of Technology's (RIT) Instructional Television Center. Created during the 1960s, the Television Center created, produced, and broadcasted educational television programs for the students and faculty at RIT's campus. The collection contains correspondence, meeting minutes, program schedules, promotional materials, and clippings.
RIT Judicial System records
Materials related to Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) judicial system as it was re-structured in 1973. The RIT judical system oversaw due process in disciplinary proceedings involving students. The collection includes copies of the proposed model implemented in 1973, and Judicial Coordinator Reports for 1973-1988.
RIT Office of Graduate Studies records
The first Graduate Studies program at the Rochester Institute of Technology was established in the late 1950's under President Mark Ellingson, with many more programs emerging rapidly after. This collection contains clippings and various records pertaining to graduate studies at RIT.
