RIT-ART. RIT Art Collection

Contains renderings of RIT Henrietta campus buildings, circa 1982-1989, created by Robert Macon of Macon Chaintreuil Jensen Stark Architects LLP.

Creations of David M. Spindel, an American photographer. The collection includes posters and photographs created by Spindel, many of which are signed. Most of the items in the collection focus on baseball memorabilia, although there is an image of John Lennon and a sample of Spindel's rebuses.

Drawings done by John Wenrich during his time as a student at the Rochester Athenaeum and Mechanics Institute (now the Rochester institute of Technology). Wenrich was an artist best known for his architectural illustrations and renderings. The collection includes sketches of models, still life, and landscapes, as well as some paintings and pen-and-ink drawings.

Original drawings for the book Blazing New Trails: The Biography of a Pioneer in Education (1937) by George Wilson Hoke. The collection includes 78 of the drawings used in Hoke's book, which traced the institutional history of the Rochester Institute of Technology. Also included are several book reviews and a brief biographical sketch of Hoke.

Four oversize photographs from the "Automobiles: Photographs by Michael Furman" exhibition held March 17 - April 7, 2011 in RIT's SPAS Gallery. Selected photographs were donated by the photographer, an alum of Rochester Institute of Technology(RIT). Furman's specialty is in studio lighting of classic cars. Cars represented in these photographs taken between 2004-2009 are a 1911 Hispano-Suiza, a 1947 Delahaye 135MS, a 1936 Bugatti and a 1932 Chrysler Imperial.

The collection contains 10 pieces of ceramics made by artist Lulu Scott Backus.

Thomas Kekic glassware contains a set of 8 glasses with decanter.

Max Lenderman fiber art contains 4 pieces: 2 wall hangings, 1 wool sculpture, and 1 piece attributed to Lenderman or Donald Bujnowski.

Donald Bujnowski tapestries contains 4 pieces: 1 wall hanging, 1 3-leaf clover motif, 1 pine trees motif, and 1 set of handwoven tapestries.

Julia Galloway ceramics contain 2 vases and 2 plates. One vase and plate are from Galloway's John James Audubon series.
