Overview

RIT/NTID Marketing Communications slide collection originally contained 8 notebooks of images taken during the first 20 years of NTID's existence on RIT's campus. The majority of the images were taken in the 1970s, coinciding with the construction of the Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) building and dormitories. The images document the campus, buildings and their construction, classrooms and equipment, dedication ceremonies, and students, faculty and staff of NTID.

Materials within this collection range from 1967 to 2007.

Complete assemblage of the commemorative stamp package to honor Robert Panara. Panara was a teacher in the field of Deaf Studies and taught at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf from 1967 until 1987. The Sally Taylor collection on the Baptist Student Union (BSU) contains various records and ephemera collected by Taylor during her time as the director of NTID/RIT Baptist Student Ministries. BSU started in 1980s as a Deaf Christian club at NTID/RIT. The collection includes administrative records, as well as clippings, photographs and handbooks related to the club’s activities. The materials range in date from 1984-1991.
