Scope and Contents
Patti Durr Deaf Media collection contains VHS tapes, DVCAM Tapes, Mini DV Cassette Tapes, DVDs, floppy discs, and Betacam Video Tapes. Topics on the recordings include ASL interviews, Deaf Artist Interviews, Online Deaf Art Center, and Advocacy Services for Abused Deaf Victims (ASADV) videos.
In this collection are some of the educational videos Durr created for NTID/RIT, including Me Too, monologues on relationships and sexual violence. There is also a series of ASL interviews with students' reflections on ASL and NTID/RIT campus climate.

Biographical Information on Patti Durr
Patti Durr is a Deaf artist and activist, as well as an associate professor in the Department of Cultural and Creative Studies at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf. She is one of the founders of the Lights On! Deaf Theatre Company and has created multiple educational short films. As an educator since 1990, Patti has impacted the lives of many students at RIT and has contributed to fostering Deaf art for decades. Durr has been instrumental in developing Deaf Studies courses at NTID and is actively involved in the community. In 2004, by rigorous peer review of student nominations, she was awarded the RIT Eisenhart Award for Outstanding Teaching.
