The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) bucket brigade records contain materials documenting the 1996 & 1997 attempts by RIT freshmen to break the Guinness World Record for the longest fire bucket brigade. Records include correspondence, photographs, newsclippings.

RIT new student orientation matricula includes 3 bound volumes labeled "Matricula 2014" and "Matricula 2016" and "Matricula 2017". The 2014 volume has a note on the inside cover which says "*This book is actually the class of 2015."

Overview The collection includes correspondence, committee meeting notes, orientation and academic year schedules, handouts about on-campus resources, orientation newsletters for incoming students and their families, new student record books, color slides, and photographs. It is arranged mostly chronologically. Boxes 3 through 5 contain extensive records detailing the planning for Student Orientation Services (SOS) between the years of 1970 and 1976. The Student Affairs Division at the Rochester Institute of Technology is an administrative unit that serves to coordinate the programs, activities, and facilities that support the personal, social, and academic needs of RIT students.
