Scope and Contents

The Raymond Kenney collection of ESAD and RTCAD records span the years from 1971-2007 and encompasses Raymond T. Kenney's involvement with ESAD, RTCAD, RCAD and multiple other Deaf Organizations in the New York area and nationally. The collection spans seven boxes. Each set of boxes contain one organization and a set of folders organized by that organziation's meeting minutes, correspondences, memos, handouts, flyers, administrative materials and court cases.

Box 1 and 2 contain documents on general deaf organizations. This includes information from such organizations as the New York Association of the Deaf, Inc.; The Empire State; SHHH (Self Help for Hard of Hearing People); and the Buffalo Civic Association of the Deaf. Box 3 entails General - Court cases. Box 4 contains Empire State Association of the Deaf, Inc. (ESAD). Box 5 and 6 hold information about the Rochester Tel-Com Association of the Deaf (RTCAD). Lastly, Box 7 has documents from the Rochester Civic Association of the Deaf (RCAD).
