Scope and Contents

Explore Your Future videotapes footage includes activities, such as sports, visits to the petting zoo, cider mill, and park. There are also interviews with business students and footage of classes. Footage is captured on Beta tapes and DVD-Cams. Also in 2011, six more VHS tapes of Explore Your Future tapes were added from 1994, 1996-1997, 2000-2001.

Biographical / Historical

Explore Your Future is a week long summer program organized by the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology. Deaf and hard of hearing high school sophomores and juniors can attend the program, designed to prepare them to continue their education in college. Students engage in various career areas, such as information technology, engineering, business, science, and art. They also learn about college life, gain support in the transition from high school to college, and participate in a variety of activities such as swimming, bowling, and other sports, going to movies, and visiting sites of interest in the Rochester community.
