RIT Presidential Medallion Recipients records
Scope and Contents
The RIT Presidential Medallion records consist of two lists of award recipients in a folder. The first list, for the Presidential Medallion, was made in 1994 and lists recipients from 1977-1993. The second list, for the Presidential Medal, was printed in 2009 and lists recipients from 1981-2002.

Historical Information: Presidential Medallion
The Presidential Medallion was awarded to individuals, groups, or companies that contribute or have contributed something of exceptional significance to RIT. This award is conferred by the President of RIT and is awarded at his/her discretion. The medallion or medal is engraved with the recipients’ name and occasion. The award is now called the Presidential Medal. The list of Presidential Medal recipients (1981-2002) can be found on the RIT website:

RIT Presidential Medallion recipient records lists recipients who have been awarded the Rochester Institute of Technology Presidential Medallion, later called the RIT Presidential Medal. The award was created to provide a special way for the university to express its gratitude towards external contributions to RIT. These records consist of two lists of award recipients.
The lists are arranged in chronological order.
