RIT Sports Information photographs
Scope and Contents
Each year staff members of the RIT Sports Information Department deposit to the RIT Archives all of the images that were taken of each team sport and individuals who played on those teams. This collection dates back to the 1930's when there were only a few teams for men and women. Most images in this collection are in print format, but does include microfiche, negatives, and beginning with 2002, digital images on CDs. Teams include baseball, basketball, hockey, track and cross-country, volleyball, softball, fencing, cheerleading, bowling, golf, lacrosse, soccer, and swimming, as well as coaching and atheltics staff photos. Also included are athletes inducted into the RIT Sports Hall of Fame each year.

Overview
RIT Sports Information photographs includes prints, microfiche, negatives, and digital images documenting men and women athletes and RIT sports teams from the 1930's to 2013.
Arrangement
All printed photographs are arranged by men and women's sport, then alphabetically by athletes last name. Group and team photos are by sport. Many photographs are unidentified.
Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Digital images are jpg files and must be opened with photo viewing software such as Photoshop.
