Clayton Valli memorial collection
This collection contains documentation of a 2003 memorial service held at NTID for Clayton Valli, deaf linguist and ASL poet. Both photographs and a video document the memorial.
Deaf President Now collection
Deaf President Now collection contains digitized copies of documentation of protests held at Gallaudet University in 1988 by deaf students who wanted a deaf president. The collection also contains documentation of demands by students at National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) for specific concerns they wanted addressed by the administration.
Dr. William Castle NTID An Historical Perspective digital audio recording
Audio recording of a talk given by William Castle on the history of NTID. NTID was established in 1966 and Robert Frisina became its first director in 1967. Exact date of the recording is unknown.
Empire State Association of the Deaf (ESAD) records
The Empire State Association of the Deaf (ESAD) records are a compilation of historical, legal, financial, and legislative materials created and retained by members of the ESAD. Other information within this collection includes special interest issues, events, regional branch affiliates, various Deaf organizations, and much more. The bulk of the collection dates between 1946-2006.
John Panara collection on Robert and Shirley Panara
The John Panara collection on Robert and Shirley Panara includes photographs, correspondence and local news articles collected by the Panara family and used in an NTID exhibit on Robert Panara from 2014.
Paula Grcevic collection
This collection is comprised of multiple donations from Grcevic, including Russian periodicals related to deaf/deafness, art located in NTID/Dyer, and articles about the Gallaudet new president scandal.
