Fred Troller collection contains materials from the distinguished American graphic designer and educator. It includes a vast amount of material ranging from sketches, mock-ups and proofs along with final printed projects including book jackets, promotional materials, packaging and posters for noted companies such as International Business Machines (IBM), Olympia, Sloan Kettering Hopsital, and CIBA.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Ken Hiebert collection is divided into four series. Series I. Biographical contains resume and CVs, correspondence, and his own education in the Basel School. Series II. Teaching Career contains syllabi and coursework from courses taught by Hiebert, comprising exercises done by his students at Carnegie Mellon, PCA/UArts, and others, many of which are in the form of design books. Overview

The Troller collection was donated by Beatrice Troller in 2005 and includes material ranging from sketches, mock-ups and proofs along with final printed projects including book jackets, promotional materials, packaging and posters.

Hermann Zapf was a German type designer, typographer, calligrapher, author, and professor. He influenced type design and modern typography, winning many awards and honors for his work. Of note is Zapf’s work with August Rosenberger, a prominent punchcutter who cut many of Zapf’s designs.

Contains 30 dust jackets, 9 original artworks for dust jackets, 2 black and white photographs of the exhibition installation of Kauffer's work at the Bevier Gallery, RIT and 1 announcement from that exhibition, 10 black and white photographs of posters and magazine advertisements for American Airlines, 1 color reproduction of a poster for the New York Subway, and 1 tearsheet of a magazine advertisement for the Container Corporation of America.
