Scope and Contents

The papers document the career of typographer Edward Rondthaler, particularly his early work in phototypesetting, and his company Photo-lettering Inc. The collection contains some business records, photographs, and examples of his graphics work for clients, from films and stats to finished print pieces. Also here are drafts of his autobiography, which was published in 1981, and his other writings on typography, phototypesetting, and onomatopoeic printing.
