Energy House (Rochester, N.Y.) records
Materials related to RIT's Energy House, built in 1977. The house was part of an experiment to see if a solar powered house was viable in Rochester, NY. The collection includes photographs and slides, project reports, news releases, tour and exhibit plans, brochures, articles, clippings, and various pieces of ephemera.
Task Force on the 80s records
Documents from the Rochester Institute of Technology's (RIT) Task Force on the 80s. The group was created in 1977 as part of RIT's reaccreditation process. The collection consists of correspondence, memoranda, meeting minutes, agendas, committee reports, and miscellaneous planning documents.
Institutional Advancement Commission records
Records of the institutional Advancement Commission, an organization started in 1975 to determine the future direction of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). The collection contains reports from the university's nine academic areas as well as background research on higher education and RIT's unique role. There is also some correspondence and a final report published by the commission.

RIT 175th Anniversary Celebration collection
Materials related to RIT's 175th Anniversary Celebration, held in 2004. The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) can trace its origins to the founding of the Rochester Athenaeum in 1829. The collection contains schedules of events, ephemera such as programs and calendars, special publications, and news clippings. Also included are the records of the Anniversary Planning Committee.
Kern Program collection
Materials related to the Kern Program at the Rochester Institute of Technology. The endowed program was meant to "stimulate creativity in all areas of the communicative arts." The collection contains documents related to specific programs, as well as to individual Kern professors. Also included are 33 videotapes of various lectures sponsored by the program.
Harold Kentner collection
This collection contains materials related to Harold Kentner’s career with the College of Continuing Education (CCE) and RIT's Evening School; the introduction and development of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf; and the community outreach of Assistant Dean of the Extended Services Division of CCE at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Included are annual reports, correspondence, photographs, RIT publications and clippings relating to these subjects.

Additionally, the collection contains correspondence between the Mechanics Institute and the Rochester city historian regarding the Institute's role in wartime activities.
