Collection of photographs in slide format documenting student life, events, and classes at National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
NTID Summer Vestibule Program photographs and trophy consists of photographs, 35 mm slides, negatives, VHS, 8mm video cassettes, and other ephemera relating to the Summer Vestibule Program, an orientation for students attending the National Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology. Materials within this collection date from 1971 to 2008.
RIT/NTID Marketing Communications slide collection originally contained 8 notebooks of images taken during the first 20 years of NTID's existence on RIT's campus. The majority of the images were taken in the 1970s, coinciding with the construction of the Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) building and dormitories. The images document the campus, buildings and their construction, classrooms and equipment, dedication ceremonies, and students, faculty and staff of NTID.
NTID-related materials collected by Thomas Raco, an administrator at NTID for many years. The materials center around art at NTID, art curriculum, artists who attended NTID, an alums show at Dyer Art Center, articles and videotapes about deaf art and artists. Collection also includes sample artwork by deaf artist Morris Broderson.
