Sowon Joo jewelry
Scope and Contents
Collection consists of three pieces of silver jewelry including a lacquered wire lapel pin, a conceptual necklace, and a pair of dangle earrings. All three pieces have knitted silver elements, a theme running throughout Ms. Joo's work.

Biographical / Historical
Sowon Joo studied at Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea and received an MFA from the Dept. of Craft and Design at Seoul National University. In 2005, she received her MFA in Metal/Jewelry design from the School for American Crafts at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. She became an Artist in Residence, at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2007. She shows and sells her work worldwide.
