Biographical / Historical
Painter and printmaker Robert Marx graduated from the University of Illinois in 1953. He has exhibited at the Franz Bader Show in Vienna, the International exhibition of Graphic Art in West Germany, and at the Smithsonian, among others.
Much of his life has been spent teaching at various universities including Syracuse University, the Fulbright School of Art in India, SUNY Brockport, and the University of Wisconsin. His work has been honored with numerous awards, including the Rochester Finger Lakes Exhibition award. Marx's work is in the permanent collections of many museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
