Ron Sherman portfolios
Scope and Contents
The Ron Sherman collection contains portfolios as well as his business card. The three portfolios included are: You are There: A Photographer's Journey- A 60's Family Portrait, You are There: A Photographer's Journey- Faces of a Market and A Rare and Unusual Collection of Post Civil Rights Images. The collection covers part of Sherman's work from 1964 through the 1980's.

Biographical / Historical
Ron Sherman has been a working photographer for the past 50 years. His assignments have been on locations throughout the United States and in a number of international settings. He has also developed a vast photo archives during his professional years. Since 1991 he has created unique images using a combination of photography and computer technology. This web site has been developed to give you a sense of his capabilities.
His assignments have been published in national magazine ranging from Time, Life, Newsweek, Business Week, Forbes, Inside Sports and Sports Illustrated. Ron's corporate assignments have been featured in annual reports, brochures, and multimedia productions for a wide variety of Fortune 500 companies including IBM, Eastman Kodak, Coca-Cola, BellSouth (now AT&T), Southern Natural Gas, Georgia Power, and the Southern Company.
Although creating story telling photographs is his number one priority, offering great service is a close second. Ron has met deadlines his whole career and the projects always come in on budget. The 95 images in his latest hardcover book, ATLANTA - America the Beautiful, published by Firefly Books in September 2013, and were delivered in less than 60 days from the first contact by the publisher to the requested deadline.
Photographs from his photo archives library of some 500,000+ color and black and white images are regularly licensed for a variety of publication purposes. Besides extensive coverage of Atlanta and Georgia images, his archives includes corporate and industrial, college and university, politics, personalities, sports, nature and southeast cities and locations.
Ron is currently going back to his collection to 1960's and 1970s images, editing, scanning, captioning and adding subjects to his web site collection on a continuing schedule. Some of the subjects include 1960s middle class family, 1969 March on Washington DC, Army duty and Vietnam 1966-1969, college coverage 1964-1989 to name a few . As subjects are added to his photo archive collection, anyone on his email list will be notified. Even with his vast collection of archival photographs, if he cannot fill a request, he will do his best to find another source for the needed images. This is the quality of service he offers his clients.
