Biographical / Historical
Starting as early as 1922, RIT has published Faculty Policy/Manuals for their faculty members. Materials specifically for tenure can be found in this collection, starting in the early 1960s. The purpose of tenure at RIT was, “the establishment of a career teaching staff of demonstrated excellence… a grant of tenure will be a group of proven distinction.” (folder 2)
