Scope and Contents

The Chris Nilsen collection of RIT campus construction slides consists of eighty color slides documenting various stages of construction of campus buildings over a period of several years. Some of the buildings being constructed are identifiable, and some are not. The same is true with people shown in the photos.

Biographical / Historical

Chris F. Nilsen attended RIT and graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1958, and later earning degrees at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Dr. Nilsen returned to RIT to teach Mechanical Engineering for 41 years in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering, where he retired Professor Emeritus.
