Scope and Contents

The RIT collection of United States Presidential papers is a group of documents signed by three United States Presidents: William Jefferson (Bill) Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama. The documents include a letter from the White House congratulating Rochester Institute of Technology on 100 years of cooperative education and experiential learning signed by Barack Obama, dated October 31, 2012; a 6"x9" booklet of "Selected Remarks by William Jefferson Clinton 2002" signed by Clinton; and a letter dated July 28, 2005 from George W. Bush to the Honorable Bruce R. James, retired Public Printer of the United States United States Government Printing Office and a former RIT Board of Trustee member.

The collection was assembled by Debbie Stendardi, Vice President for Government and Community Relations at RIT.

A collection of United States Presidential signatures titled the Frederick Wiedman Jr. collection of Presidential papers was donated to RIT. The Frederick Wiedman Jr. Collection of Presidential papers is a fascinating group of documents with the signature of 39 United States presidents. It provides a glimpse into the lives of the individuals who have held the most important office in the nation from George Washington to Ronald Reagan. The RIT collection of Presidential papers adds signed materials from U.S. Presidents who took office after Mr. Wiedman's original gift.

These three documents were procured by the efforts of Debbie Stendardi, Vice President for Government and Community Relations at RIT.
