Scope and Contents

The Edward B. Stockham papers consist of professional papers from the former Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) College of Science professor. The collection includes brochures from various seminars and workshops sponsored by the College of Science; program proposals such as a proposal for an Inter-Institutional Double Degree Program in Pharmacy with the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy; correspondence; and reports such as a paper on issues facing the health profession education programs at RIT. Also included are a video recording used to recruit students to RIT's Nuclear Medicine Technology program and five VHS tapes used in a course taught by Stockham. There are also copies of grant applications written from 1975-1980 and a few miscellaneous items related to Stockham's life and career. These items include clippings, an article written by Stockham, and the titles of several of Stockham's publications.

Biographical / Historical

Edward B. Stockham started working as a professor in the Rochester Institute of Technology's (RIT) College of Science around 1974. While at RIT he served as the coordinator of Health Related Activities, was named "acting head" of the Department of Clinical Sciences, prepared a proposal for a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Management and served as the Allied Health Education Grant Principal Investigator. He retired in 2004 after over 30 years of service.
