The Rochester Institute of Technology's Hispanic Student Association was officially formed during the 1987-1988 school year. According to the group's constitution, the club's purpose was "to unite the Hispanic students pertaining to various cultural groups into one organization." This was to be achieved through programming, promoting awareness of other cultures on campus, and providing support to fellow students.
