Stephen Aldersley collected material on major deaf organizations in the United States. Organizations with the most coverage include: Convention of American Instructors of the Deaf (CAID), The Council of Organizational Representatives (COR), and the National Association of the Deaf (NAD). The earliest records document the American Association to Promote the Teaching of Speech to the Deaf (AAPTSD). Records in the collection include newsletters, by-laws and constitutions, minutes, proceedings, and reports.
