A collection of Deaf poetry videotapes, dvds, and digital documents containing lectures, performances, and interviews documenting ASL (American Sign Languagae) poetry. The materials were gathered while conducting research for Heart of The Hydrogen Jukebox, a documentary film by Miriam Lerner about ASL poetry.
NTID collection of NETAC and PEPNet training materials
The NTID collection NETAC and PEPnet training materials consists of video and paper training materials for postsecondary programs serving students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
NTID Media Production records
The National Technical Institute for the Deaf Media Production Department records provide a snapshot of the diverse collection of curriculum and publications created by NTID during the late 1970s through the early part of the 2010s. The collection consists of various materials such as faculty papers, curriculum, publications, and multiple forms of graphic materials, including VHS, DVDs, and CDs.
Oral interpreting/transliterating materials collection
Materials related to training of oral interpreters of the deaf for deaf people who prefer oral means of communication and do not use sign language. The collection includes DVDs, VHS tapes, books, notebooks, brochures, and newsletters.
Patti Durr collection on Deaf Holocaust Survivors
Patti Durr’s filmed interviews and transcripts she conducted with deaf survivors of the Holocaust, as well as copies of two films created from the interviews. Also included are copies of older interviews conducted by Simon Carmel, former NTID faculty.
Patti Durr deaf media collection
Collection includes multimedia such as VHS tapes, DVCAM Tapes, Mini DV Cassette Tapes, DVDs, floppy discs, and Betacam Video Tapes. Topics include ASL interviews, Deaf Artist Interviews, Online Deaf Art Center, and Advocacy Services for Abused Deaf Victims (ASADV), Deaf education, NTID, Gallaudet University, De'VIA, and Deaf literature and poetry performance. Videos date from 1984-2012.
